GVSU Faculty & Staff

Specializing in meeting the needs of GVSU faculty and staff is an important goal for me. I am very involved in the GVSU community including the Alumni Association Board of Directors, the Alumni Ambassador program, and the GVSU Foundation.

Your Retirement

When thinking about your retirement there are many questions you need to ask yourself. A few examples are:

How much income do you want to draw at retirement?
At what age would you like to retire?
What do you foresee yourself doing in retirement?

Often times employees just put money away for their retirement without ever really asking themselves these questions. Knowing your goals and concerns is central to your retirement.

Risk Tolerance

Making sure that you have invested properly for your retirement should be a great concern of yours. One of the main factors in this is your risk tolerance - how much risk are you willing to take and for what return? For an online calculator to determine what risk category you are in, please click

Life Insurance

When you take out life insurance you do not take it out for yourself. You take it out for those who will be left behind when you pass on.

Consider the ramifications of your death.
If you died today, would your family be left with the standard of living you would want them to enjoy?
If you already have life insurance, when was the last time you had it reviewed?

Long-Term Care Insurance

When looking into long-term care insurance it is important to examine all of your options. Your options include a group insurance plan, an individual long-term care insurance plan, and a life insurance policy with an accelerated death benefit rider. Please
